Dear FHM.com user,

A short public service announcement. We're currently moving FHM.com onto some new shiny servers so a) sorry there's been very little new content but we're up to it in nerd manoeuvres and b) the site may well demonstrate all the understanding of your PMT-ravaged lady for a few days.

Onward. Last week's call for fat/thin lookalikes - in an increasingly desperate bid to offload our
Rik Waller merchandise - bore yet more disappointing fruit. "Best" was this from Matt Pickin, who wins a prize!

He claims it’s a fat Will Carling. With a mohawk. Leaving aside the fact that bum-chinned Carling was a fat knacker in the first place, the problem remains that, like last week, it doesn’t look like him in any way. It's unlikely this feature is going to carry on to be honest, but if you fancy some copious bounty from our heaving cupboard of fun, then carry on sending your “fat people who look like thin people” to reporter@fhm.com. We'd like it if they are a) fat and b) look like someone this time.

Everyone who wrote in asking for a T-shirt (especially the guy in Wales who works with “El Gorda”), bear with us. We’ll get back to you all.

Fruitless time-wasting entertainment from the week on the web:
  • A reappearance for the truly fantastic girls kissing, which was lost but is now found thanks to Tim Hussey.
  • An article on Jennifer Lopez’s nipples from the excellent Retrocrush.
  • Ginger people feel more pain. Stop beating them up.
  • Our “Jim Bowen singing Independent Woman” link gets added cats. Very good.
  • While we’re on the subject of cats this made our girlfriends cry.
  • Fairly old site about the Tube which contains, nevertheless, hours of excellent entertainment. Check the driver announcements.
  • Someone with floppy ears. The most astonishing video for weeks. Thanks to Bob Simpson.

It’s one thing winding up budding pop starlets, but confronting XXX megastar Vin Diesel in LA and telling him his English accent was crap was not a good move. Still, the interview improved from there… Then on Monday we met him again at the glittering London premiere - watch all the glamorous fun and games in our XXX WebTV special. And closer to home, jolly pop tinklers St Etienne take the FHM Bloke Test.

Fresh in the Video Jukebox are prime audiovisual cuts from New York rockers The Strokes (battling for victory on the U.S version of gameshow Family Fortunes), Mercury Prize runner-up The Streets (featuring one FHM staffer bizarrely enough) and the delectable Dannii Minogue (looking as diminutive as ever thanks to a giant record player). And as if that wasn't good enough, look out for forthcoming arrivals from the mighty Groove Armada, hip-hop don LL Cool J and blonde newbie Harry. All of them have cracking new singles - watch the promos here.

Given the absolute certainty of a winter watching our “brave lads” get roundly humiliated in another Ashes series, here’s a chance to watch England take on Australia in something they might actually win. 10 pairs of tickets for November at Twickers HQ could be yours thanks to our leg-warming pals at Deep Heat - click below to enter.

In our continuing bid to offer you beeping songs that you never heard before, this month we’ve gutted the contents of the FHM stereo and turned them into ring tones. From 70s prog rock to 90s rave anthems to a bluegrass cover of Snoop Dog’s Gin and Juice, the full range of office based entertainment can be found below.

Next week sees the official launch of our long-awaited High Street Honeys microsite. Thank you for your patience.

Where’s the quote in the subject line from? First to tell us at reporter@fhm.com wins the DVD. Last week was Pulp Fiction and loads of you got it wrong. For shame. Send all other things to us as well apart from amputee porn and that guy with his face ripped off. The therapist bills are mounting up.
